At Hotova CrossFit in Buffalo, Minnesota, we are excited to announce a new program:Hotova CrossFit Kids Summer Camp! The clientele of Hotova CrossFit is largely made of people who may or may not be approaching middle age, seeking a new fitness and healthy lifestyle program. That’s what we deliver! The best part is CrossFit can be scaled so the movements and activities work for all ages and ability levels. Since most of our clients are parents, we felt it was important to extend our philosophies and opportunities to children.
Some people ask: Is CrossFit training safe for kids? As with any exercise regimen, opinions can be muddied by those who don’t understand the program or those who don’t take the time and care to do it correctly. At Hotova CrossFit, personal attention and individualized instruction is key. Our trained coaches are not going to allow an athlete of any age– certainly not a child– to push too hard, or to coast by not working hard enough. When done correctly, athletic trainers find CrossFit can have great fitness benefits for youngsters:.

Hotova CrossFit Kids Summer Camp, designed for children aged 8 to 12, will provide an activity outlet for kids who want to build endurance and strength, improve athletic skills, or just burn excess energy! A certified coach will introduce moves and workouts, tailoring each activity to your child’s ability level. We will incorporate teamwork, listening and direction-following skills, and esteem-building with the FUN and variety of stretches, calisthenics, and gymnastics to improve core strength and cardiovascular endurance. You will be amazed at the kids’ improvement, and they will be amazed by what their bodies can do!
Camp sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30, beginning June 8 and running through August. Sign up for a month at a time ($80) or the whole summer ($200.) Because of the personalized attention and individualized instruction, space is very limited.
