Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients:

4 medium green pepper (cut the top and save it for covering the pepper later on, take all

the seeds out), ½ cup of raw rice,3 cups of water, 1lb of ground beef,1 medium onion (chopped), 2 tbsp

of olive oil, salt , pepper and ground basil leaves to taste.

Preparation:

In high heat add 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan. Add the rice and stir for about a minute. Add

the water and bring it to boil. Cover the pan half way, wait until all the water is almost evaporated

.Lower the heat to simmer and cover the whole pan with the lid. Let cook for about 12-15 min set it

aside.

In a skillet add 1 tbsp of olive oil (high heat), let it heat for about 30 sec, add the onion, ground beef, salt

pepper and basil leave to taste. Let it cook for about 10 min. Mix the rice and ground beef together.

In a tray place the pepper and fill it up with the mix of rice and ground beef. Place the pepper lid on top

of each pepper. Add 1 cup of water on the bottom of the tray. Cover it with foil and bake it at 375

degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
