Who I Am:

Kristin is the unofficial Hotova CrossFit cheerleader. Her upbeat, encouraging attitude makes her especially suited to work with FitCamp and Active, and with our teen and kid programs. In addition to coaching, Kristin is an academic tutor for elementary-aged students and she also works with the Children and Family Ministry at Zion Lutheran Church. It seems Kristin never stops moving, as her favorite hobbies include hiking, biking, running and spending time on the lake.

She became a member at Hotova CrossFit in 2016, after winning a prize at a nutrition seminar. Kristin said she loves the variety of workouts, and is still learning new things nearly every day. “Things never get easier; you just get better,” Kristin said, sounding like the coach she is. She got her CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2017, and gets in her own workouts at either 6:30 or 9 a.m. Running Annie and Fight Gone Bad are Kristin’s favorite WODs, and, yes, it’s true—Kristin loves burpees!

The Eagan, Minnesota native now makes her home in Buffalo with husband Brian and their children Cate and Andrew. She is bolstered by the endless support of the CrossFit community, and loves meeting new friends with the same goals: better health and fitness. Kristin is excited about continued growth at Hotova CrossFit, and looks forward to helping even more people develop positive, lifelong wellness habits.

Advice for Beginners:

You never fail completely unless you quit. Before you quit, remember WHY you started.
